Group online piano lessons with Steve Neale
Discover the new way to learn piano with proven results. No more boring. No more forced practicing. Just you, some peers, and great music!
It's called "PLAYING piano" for a reason!
The joy of piano comes from playing in a way that FEELS as good as the music SOUNDS.
When you want to learn piano, you don't want to take years until you feel good about your skills. The vast majority of people who start lessons quit after a short time because they aren't seeing results. Piano apps can teach you to mimic, but they can't teach you to really PLAY, and old-school private lessons can be expensive, boring and slow.
I started out teaching the old-school way and was just as frustrated and bored as my students. When I started teaching lessons on Zoom during the pandemic, it was even worse because I felt like I couldn't connect with my students. That's when I started to develop a better online method, leveraging the best of old-school methods with the best technology. I found that using a suite of cutting-edge software and three cameras allowed me to connect with my students and the music in ways that were impossible to do in-person. I had accidentally developed online lessons that were superior to in-person lessons in results, enjoyment, flexibility, cost and convenience.

Why Choose The Old Way?

-
Boring: The thought of trudging through the same piece you've been working on for weeks on end while a boring teacher awkwardly watches you in their living room seems exciting to you.
-
Learn the same way your parents did: They hated those lessons and quit after three years of drudgery after THEIR parents got tired of forcing them to practice, but who knows? Could be fun.
-
Uncomfortable and time-consuming: Hanging out in an old stranger's house that smells like cats and broccoli might be enjoyable, but commuting to lessons is sure to make it even better.
-
Expensive and rigid: Scheduling regular lessons in addition to soccer, gymnastics, yoga, PTA and play practice is a challenge you're up for and scheduling make-up lessons is the logistical nightmare the Rubik's Cube solver in you craves!

"I recently collaborated with Steve on a week-long musical theatre audition workshop for middle schoolers and was monumentally impressed by his superb musical facility. But that wasn’t all. What really makes Steve a rarity is the combination of such superior talent with his incredible kindness and genuine glee in teaching. He’s supportive, non-judgmental, and a great communicator, and the students adored him."
